President Trump is a hypocrite. How do we know this? Well, remember how 45 used to tell the media the Hillary Clinton wasn’t well enough to be President? Trump has the press always questioning Clinton’s health.
However, The New Yorker released a report that calls the President’s health into question.
The report suggests that Trump hates exercise, eats terrible food, and has poor sleep habits. But that’s not all. The report continues to portray stressed out Trump. One that may not be competent enough to finish his term. I mean, how does Trump get any sleep with all the midnight tweeting?
However, as the report suggests, the likelihood of Trump stepping voluntarily are slim to none.
At this point, the only real way to get Trump to step down is by way of Section 4 of the 24th Amendment. According to The New Yorker, under this amendment, a president can be removed from office if they are found “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
Only Vice President Mike Pence, a cabinet majority, or a group of professionally appointed medical experts are able to conduct such an assessment of the president’s ability to “discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
Furthermore, Laurence Tribe, a professor of constitutional law at Harvard, told the magazine that “invoking Section 4 of the Twenty-fifth Amendment is … an entirely plausible tool.” So it is possible. But is it likely?
The professor continued to explain how the amendment is based on “a commonsense understanding” of what it means for a president to be “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
In short, it’s an arguable case.
