With White nationalist Donald Trump’s questionable Presidential election victory has come a flood of hateful, bigoted acts.
Outside of physical violence, some of the most disturbing racist acts have been in the form of social media posts, where Trump-supporting trolls seem to feel the right to express their bigotry without consequence. A Trumper recently found out the hard way that her hate will not be tolerated.
Trump supporter Pamela Ramsey Taylor is the director of the non-profit Clay County Development Corp. agency, near the West Virginia city of Charleston. After Trump was elected, Taylor posted on Facebook, “It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I’m tired of seeing a Ape in heels.” Clay Mayor Beverly Whaling chimed in, responding to Taylor’s hate speech by writing, “Just made my day Pam.”
Now Taylor has learned that she will no longer have her job as director of the federally funded nonprofit, a move confirmed by West Virginia Governor Ray Tomblin. Wrote Tomblin’s communications director Jessica Tice to The Huffington Post, “Following the state’s request for specific assurances that the CCDC is following anti-discrimination policies, we have been assured that Pamela Taylor has been removed from her position as CCDC director.” Are you happy this openly racist Trumper lost her job?
