While some Republicans are celebrating the American Health Care Act’s passage through the House, others are just spreading alternative facts about healthcare in America.
In fact, one Republican Congressman actually had the audacity to make the statement, “nobody dies because they don’t have access to health care,” Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) said, who voted in favor of the Obamacare repeal.
In an interview, Harris didn’t mention Labrador specifically during the discussion with Pod Save America, a progressive podcast hosted by former aides to President Barack Obama.
Sen. Kamala said, “This guy, this congressman, you might as well say, ‘People don’t starve because they don’t have food,’” Harris said during the interview with Pod Save America released Monday. “What the fuck is that?”
Sen. Kamala’s blunt talk brought cheers in the background.
According to HuffPo, the podcast was conducted Saturday in San Francisco in front of a live audience, who burst into a fit of laughter and cheers when Harris had moments earlier stopped herself from saying “bullshit.” However, Harris is not the only one to call the GOP out on their “bullsh*t” when it comes to telling alternative facts (lies) about healthcare in America.
Towards the end, Harris gets serious and tells the liberals to work on voting out Republicans who supported the Obamacare repeal.
Exactly. Even though the bill has not yet passed the Senate, most everyone agrees that in needs some work. However, Harris is right. We mustn’t forget when it comes time to vote them out, which irresponsible lawmakers were responsible for this blemish on American history.
